Open the keyboard backlight cable ZIF connector, and remove the cable

4. Carefully position the open computer on its left side, and then insert a finger into the finger hole in the battery bay, and press on the keyboard until it disengages from the base enclosure. 5. Turn the computer right-side up, with the front toward you. 6. Rotate the keyboard forward until it rests upside down on the palm rest (1). 7. Open the keyboard cable zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (2). 8. Open the keyboard backlight cable ZIF connector (3) and remove the cable (4). 9. Remove the keyboard (5).
