Enable Call-Home Notification The call-home feature may not be available if you are using a customer-supplied server platform for the EFC Management applications. The call-home feature enables the HP EFC server to automatically dial out to a support center to report system problems. The support center server accepts calls from the HP EFC server, logs reported events, and notifies one or more support center representatives. Configure telephone numbers and other information for the call-home feature through the Windows 2000 dial-up networking application. Refer to the hp surestore director fc-64 Installation and Service Manual (HP A6534-90902) for details. You must enable Call-Home Event Notification through the HP EFC Manager Maintenance menu before enabling this function through the Product Manager for individual Directors. Use the Enable Call Home Notification function on the Product Manager to enable callhome notification for events that occur on the selected director. The default state is disabled. To enable call-home notification for system problems, use the following steps: 1. Place the cursor over the Maintenance icon on the navigation control panel. 2. Select Enable Call Home Notification from the pop-up menu to enable and disable call- home notification.
