3. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws in the battery bay that secure the top cover to the computer. 4. Turn the computer right-side up, with the front toward you. 5. Lift the front edge of the top cover (1) until it rests at an angle. 6. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector to which the TouchPad cable is connected and disconnect the TouchPad cable (2) from the system board. 7. Release the ZIF connector to which the keyboard cable is connected and disconnect the keyboard cable (3) from the system board. 8. Remove the top cover. until it rests at an angle.
6.
Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector to which the TouchPad cable is connected and
disconnect the TouchPad cable
(2)
from the system board.
7.
Release the ZIF connector to which the keyboard cable is connected and disconnect the
keyboard cable
(3)
from the system board.
8.
Remove the top cover.
Reverse this procedure to install the top cover.
