Server controls, LEDs, and power This section describes the controls and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and how to turn the server on and off. Front view The following illustration shows the controls and LEDs on the front of the server. Power-on LED Power-control button (Optional) Diskette drive activity LED CD or DVD eject button CD or DVD drive activity LED USB (2) System error LED (Optional) Diskette-eject button Hard disk drive activity LED CD or DVD-eject button Press this button to release a CD or DVD from the CD or DVD drive. CD or DVD drive activity LED When this LED is lit, it indicates that the CD or DVD drive is in use. USB connectors Connect a USB device to these connectors. System-error LED When this amber LED is lit, it indicates that a system error has occurred. A LED on the system board might also be lit to help isolate the error. (Optional) Diskette-eject button Press this button to release a diskette from the diskette drive. Hard disk drive activity LED When this LED is flashing, it indicates that the hard disk drive is in use. (Optional) Diskette drive activity LED When this LED is lit, it indicates that the diskette drive is in use. Power-control button Press this button to turn the server on and off manually.
