DSC OPERATION 7 DDTransmitting an All Ships call All ships, that have DSC transceiver, use Channel 70 as their 'listening channel.' When you want to announce a message to these ships within range, use the 'All Ships Call' function. qqEnter "ALL SHIPS CALL" in the DSC CALLS menu. MENU ➪ DSC Calls ➪ All Ships Call (Push [MENU]) (Rotate Dial, then push [ENT].) wwSelect a desired category, using Dial or [Y]/[Z], then push Dial or [ENT]. • T he selectable category may differ, depending on the programmed setting. Ask your dealer for the selectable categories. eeSelect a desired traffic channel, using Dial or [Y]/[Z], then push Dial or [ENT]. • The selected channel is displayed. 1 rrA confirmation screen appears. • Confirm the call contents. 2 3 4 5 6 ttPush [CALL] to transmit the All Ships call. 7 • If Channel 70 is busy, the transceiver stands by until the channel becomes clear. 8 9 10 11 12 yyAfter the All Ships call has been transmitted, the following 13 screen is displayed. 14 15 16 uuAnnounce the message using the microphone. iiAfter the announcement, push [EXIT] to return to the nor- mal operating mode. 34
