DSC OPERATION 7 DDReceiving a Geographical Area Call When a Geographical Area Call (for the area you are in) is received: ➥ The alarm sounds for 2 minutes. ➥ "RCVD GEOGRAPHICAL CALL" pops up. The LCD back- light may blink for 2 minutes, depending on the received Category. qqPush [ALARM OFF] to stop the alarm and the blinking backlight. • If [ALARM OFF] is not pushed within 2 minutes, the next screen may appear, depending on the received Category. wwPush a softkey to select your desired action. 1 [IGN] ➥ Push to ignore the Call and return to the normal operat- 2 ing mode. 3 • The transceiver exits the DSC mode. • " " continues to blink and the Call is stored in the Received 4 Call Log. 5 [INFO] 6 ➥ Push to display the Received call information. (p. 65) 7 [ACPT] ➥ Push to monitor the channel specified by the calling sta- 8 tion (Example: 08) for an announcement from the call- 9 ing station. 10 11 12 13 14 When no GPS receiver is connected or if there is a prob- 15 lem with the connected receiver, all Geographical Area 16 Calls are received, regardless of your position. 58
