4 BASIC OPERATION ■■ Selecting the Mode and the DR function (Continued) DDSelecting the DR (D-STAR Repeater) function The DR (D-STAR Repeater) function is used for D-STAR repeater operation. With this function, you can easily select the programmed repeaters and Your call signs by rotating [DIAL]. See page 44 for the DR function details. qqHold down for 1 second. • Displays the DR screen. wwRotate [DIAL] to select a desired access repeater. DR screen ■■Key Lock function Activate to prevent accidental frequency changes and unnecessary function access. ➥➥Hold down [LOCK] for 1 second to turn ON the Key Lock function. • W hen the Key Lock function is activated and the locked key or [DIAL] is pushed or rotated, "LOCK ON" appears. • T o turn OFF the function, hold down [LOCK] for 1 second again. • [ ], [LOCK] , [PTT], [SQL] and [VOL] can be used while the lock function is activated. Selecting the DR (D-STAR Repeater) function

The DR (D-STAR Repeater) function is used for D-STAR
repeater operation. With this function, you can easily select
the programmed repeaters and Your call signs by rotating
[DIAL].

Lock function.
• When the Key Lock function is activated and the locked key or
[DIAL] is pushed or rotated, “LOCK ON” appears.
• To turn OFF the function, hold down [LOCK]
for 1 second
again.
