To replace the system fan assembly, do the following: 1. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 12. 2. Disconnect the system fan assembly cable from the system fan connector on the system board. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 10. 3. You might have to remove the hard disk drive to gain access to the system fan assembly. See "Replacing the hard disk drive" on page 15. 4. Break or cut the rubber mounts that secure the system fan assembly to the chassis. Then, remove the system fan assembly out of the computer. 20 User Guide Figure 17. 3.
You might have to remove the hard disk drive to gain access to the system fan

4.
Break or cut the rubber mounts that secure the system fan assembly to the
chassis. Then, remove the system fan assembly out of the computer.
5.
Install the two new short rubber mounts to the new system fan assembly.
