Understanding printer menus 80 Menu item Description Colored Loading Duplex Off Determines whether 2‑sided printing occurs for all jobs that specify Colored as the paper type Note: Off is the factory default setting. Glossy Loading Duplex Off Determines whether 2‑sided printing occurs for all jobs that Glossy as the paper type Note: Off is the factory default setting. Custom Loading Duplex Off Determines whether 2‑sided printing occurs for all jobs that specify Custom as the paper type Notes: • Off is the factory default setting. • Custom Loading is available only if the custom type is supported. Notes: • Duplex sets the printer default to 2‑sided printing for every print job unless 1‑sided printing is selected from Print Properties. • If Duplex is selected, all print jobs are sent through the duplex unit including 1‑sided jobs. Custom Types menu Menu item Custom Type Paper Card Stock Transparency Glossy Labels Bond Envelope Definition Associates a paper or specialty media type with a factory default Custom Type name or a user‑defined Custom Name created from the Embedded Web page. Notes: • Paper is the factory default setting. • Custom Type appears unless a user‑defined Custom Name is configured from the Embedded Web server or MarkVision. • The custom media type must be supported by the selected tray or multipurpose feeder in order to print from that source. Universal Setup menu These menu items are used to specify the height, width, and feed direction of the Universal Paper Size. The Universal Paper Size is a user‑defined paper size setting. It is listed with the other paper size settings and includes similar options, such as support for duplex printing and printing multiple pages on one sheet. Menu item Units of Measure Inches Millimeters Description Identifies the units of measure Notes: • Inches is the US factory default setting. • Millimeters is the international factory default setting.
