Administration Removing optional printer memory cards These instructions help you remove optional printer memory cards. 1 Remove the system board. See Removing the system board for more information. 2 Locate the optional card you want to remove. Warning: Electronic components are easily damaged by static electricity. Touch something metal on the printer before you touch the option card. 3 Push each latch out at each end of the connector. 4 Grasp the option card and pull it gently out of the connector. 5 Place the memory card in its original packaging, or wrap it in paper and store it in a box for protection. 6 If you need to install another memory card on the system board, refer to the Setup Guide. 7 Replace the system board. See Replacing the system board. Push each latch out at each end of the connector.
