Using printer menus Menu Item Purpose Values Panel Menus This menu item is only displayed when the PJL Password Environment variable is set to zero. For information about PJL commands, refer to the Technical Reference. Note: The system administrator may want to disable the operator panel menus so other users do not make changes to the menu item selections. All menu selections are disabled. Note: Disabling the operator panel menus does not prevent access to the Job Menu or to Print and Hold functionality. Disable Enable* Download Emuls This menu item is only displayed if Disable at least one Downloaded Emulator is installed. Factory Defaults Lets you to restore the network Restore Base settings or the base printer settings to their factory default values. Restore Network The Restoring Factory Defaults message is displayed once one of the values is selected. Energy Conserve This setting only affects the values On* that are displayed in the Power Saver menu item in the Setup Menu. Off Font Sharpening Lets you set the threshold for switching between font sharpening screens and normal screens. This value is only listed on printer models that have integrated network support. Restores all network NVRAM settings to their factory default values. This is only available on printers with an integrated network adapter. If set to On, then Disabled does not appear as a value in the Power Saver menu item. If set to Off, then Disabled appears as a value in the Power Saver menu item. For example, if the value is set to 75, then all fonts 75 points and smaller are sharpened. Panel Menus
This menu item is only displayed

Download Emuls
This menu item is only displayed if
at least one Downloaded Emulator
is installed.
Disable
Disables the download
emulator.
Factory
Defaults
Lets you to restore the network
settings or the base printer settings
to their factory default values.
The
Restoring Factory
Defaults
message is displayed
once one of the values is selected.
Restore Base
Restores non-critical base
printer NVRAM settings.
This value is only listed on
printer models that have
integrated network support.
Restores all network NVRAM
settings to their factory default
values. This is only available
on printers with an integrated
network adapter.

This setting only affects the values
