4045-XXX Print Quality - All Black Page Service Tip: An all black page is generally caused by a problem in the high voltage system or an incorrect high voltage in the printing process resulting in toner development on the entire photoconductor drum. FRU 1 High Voltage Contacts 2 Engine Board 3 HVPS Cable/HVPS Print Quality - Blank Page Action Check the high voltage contacts on the right side frame to ensure they fit securely and are not pitted, contaminated or damaged. If incorrect, replace the contact. Check the voltages on J9-1 through J9-9. If incorrect, replace the HVPS. Check the continuity of the HVPS cable. If incorrect, replace the cable assembly. If correct, replace the HVPS. FRU 1 Print Cartridge 2 Developer Drive and Coupler Action Check the print cartridge for any signs of damage, especially the PC drum contact on the cartridge. Make sure the developer drive is working properly and the coupler is correctly installed between the main drive and the developer drive. 2-38 Service Manual

High Voltage Contacts
Check the high voltage contacts on
the right side frame to ensure they fit
securely and are not pitted,
contaminated or damaged. If
incorrect, replace the contact.

Engine Board
Check the voltages on J9-1 through
J9-9. If incorrect, replace the HVPS.

HVPS Cable/HVPS
Check the continuity of the HVPS
cable. If incorrect, replace the cable
assembly. If correct, replace the
HVPS.
