2 SafeCom Go Lexmark 2.3.3 Show/hide icons on the control panel To show/hide icons for functions other than SafeCom Pull Print: 1. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the printer in the address field. Use of JavaScript (Active Scripting) must be enabled. 2. Click Settings on the menu. 3. In the Default Settings list, click General Settings. 4. In the General Settings list, click Home screen customization. 5. Select the functions that should be on the control panel and clear those that should not. 6. Click Submit. Note: The Pull Print icon is always displayed. 2.3.4 Install SafeCom ID Device (card reader) This section is only relevant if users login by card. See 1.3 SafeCom ID devices for a list of supported ID Devices. Connect the SafeCom ID Device directly to the external USB. The USB port is located at the rear of the device next to the network port. If the SafeCom ID Device is connected before SafeCom Go Lexmark software is installed, the display may show the message: Unsupported USB device. Please remove. Ignore this message and proceed with SafeCom Go Lexmark software installation. D60711-14 14

Show/hide icons on the control panel
To show/hide icons for functions other than SafeCom Pull Print:
1.

Install SafeCom ID Device (card reader)
This section is only relevant if users login by card. See 1.3 SafeCom ID devices
for a list of supported ID Devices.
Connect the SafeCom ID Device directly to the external USB. The USB port is

If the SafeCom ID Device is connected before SafeCom Go Lexmark software is
installed, the display may show the message:
