Users may incorporate other datastreams by utilizing a data filter to remove characters. See "Data filters" on page 96 below. Data filters The following information is a supplement to the Forms Menu information provided in the Forms and Bar Code Card User's Guide. If a data filter is enabled, the incoming forms job is run through that filter before processing by the DLE. Data Filter Actions Data Filter Disabled NULL OFIS Actions Performed Indicates that all data filters are off Removes all NULL characters from datastream Removes the following Optra FormsTM Initialization Strings from the datastream: OFIS + NULL AS400 PCL ZPL ZPL-F %-12345X@PJL ENTER LANGUAGE=POSTSCRIPT M%PS (LexForm) run Bs or %!PS-ADOBE (LexForm) run startup Performs all actions listed for NULL and OFIS data filters The AS400 datastream contains only text. However, in order to produce bold and underlined text, extra lines are added to the datastream to produce double strikes or underlines. These extra lines are removed by this filter. Removes all PCL5 emulation escape sequences and leaves the text data Removes all ZPL escape sequences and leaves the text data Performs the same actions as the ZPL filter, except uses the '@' as the "format instruction" prefix Forms Card font support Not all fonts are recognized by the Forms and Bar Code Card. The chosen font my be Supported, Recognized, or Not Supported. For supported fonts, the forms card will use the appropriate font file. For recognized fonts, the forms card will apply a similar font file. Fonts that are not supported will not print. One DBCS language is supported: Simplified Chinese. Forms Card font support
Not all fonts are recognized by the Forms and Bar Code Card.
The chosen font my be Supported, Recognized, or Not Supported. For supported fonts, the forms
card will use the appropriate font file. For recognized fonts, the forms card will apply a similar font file.
Fonts that are not supported will not print.
One DBCS language is supported: Simplified Chinese. Two fonts are supported: SimHei and
SimSun.

The AS400 datastream contains only text. However, in order to produce bold and
