English Playing Discs Note • When in VCD 2.0 mode (PBC ON mode), this function does not work. • You cannot program the CD area of a Super Audio CD. Playing MP3s This player can play MP3 files on a CD-ROM disc. MP3 is a popular audio format on computers and the Internet because file sizes are small (compared to uncompressed CD audio), while the sound quality remains surprisingly good. 1 When an MP3 disc is loaded, directories will be shown on the screen. Select the desired file by pressing the 5/∞ or number buttons of the remote control and press the 3 (PLAY) button. Playback will start from the selected track. Note • During playback, elapsed time of the current file is displayed on the front panel display. 5 Using Random Play Press the RANDOM button during the Play mode. To cancel the Random Play, press the RANDOM button again. Using Repeat Play Press the REPEAT button during playback. See page 22 for more information.
