external display When you close your phone, the external display shows the time, status indicators, and 5 1X P N notifications for incoming calls 4:56pm and other events. For a list of phone status indicators, see page 43. handsfree speaker Note: You must open your phone's flip to activate the speakerphone. Your phone's integrated handsfree speaker allows you to talk to another party without holding the phone to your ear. turn on/off To activate the speakerphone during a call, press Volume Keys Smart/ Speakerphone Key and hold the smart/speakerphone key. You will see Spkrphone On and the speakerphone indicator q, and hear a soft audio alert. To end the call, press End Call or press P. You will see Call Ended and hear a soft audio alert. Note: Closing the flip while using the speakerphone does not end the call. The speakerphone remains on until you press the smart/speakerphone key again or turn off the phone.
