The Shooting Menu (for A (Auto) Mode, Continuous Shooting Mode) B Notes on Subject Tracking • The digital zoom is not available. • Set the zoom position, flash mode, creative slider, or menu settings before registering a subject. If any of these are changed after a subject is registered, the subject will be canceled. • During certain conditions, such as when the subject is moving quickly, when there is a large amount of camera shake, or when there are multiple subjects that look alike, the camera may not be able to register or track a subject, or the camera may track a different subject. Additionally, the subject may not be tracked properly depending on factors such as the subject's size and brightness. • In some rare cases of shooting subjects for which autofocus does not perform as expected (A29), the subject may not be in focus despite the fact that the focus area lights in green. If you cannot focus, change the AF area mode to Manual or Center, or try shooting with focus lock (A76) by refocusing on another subject at the same distance. • This feature may not be used in combination with certain features. See "Features That Cannot Be Used Simultaneously" (A73) for more information. Set the zoom position, flash mode, creative slider, or menu settings before registering a subject. If
any of these are changed after a subject is registered, the subject will be canceled.
During certain conditions, such as when the subject is moving quickly, when there is a large
amount of camera shake, or when there are multiple subjects that look alike, the camera may not
be able to register or track a subject, or the camera may track a different subject. Additionally, the
subject may not be tracked properly depending on factors such as the subject’s size and
brightness.
