When set to On (default setting), the camera detects human faces and then automatically releases the shutter whenever a E41 smile is detected. Self-timer cannot be used with this feature. When On is selected, the camera automatically releases the shutter twice each time a picture is taken. Of the two shots, one in which the subject's eyes are open is saved.
