Filters Software • Nikon filters can be divided into three types: screw-in, drop-in, and rearinterchange. Use Nikon filters; other filters may interfere with autofocus or electronic range finding. • The D50 can not be used with linear polarizing filters. Use the C-PL circular polarizing filter instead. • The NC and L37C filters are recommended for protecting the lens. • When using an R60 filter, set exposure compensation to +1. • To prevent moiré, use of a filter is not recommended when the sub- ject is framed against a bright light, or when a bright light source is in the frame. • Center-weighted metering is recommended with filters with exposure factors (filter factors) over 1 × (Y48, O56, R60, X0, X1, C-PL, ND4S, ND8S, A2, A12, B2, B8, B12). ♦Nikon Capture 4 (Version 4.3 or Later): Nikon Capture 4 version 4.3 or later can be used to capture photos to a computer and to edit and save RAW images in other formats.
