Viewing Photographs on a Computer The supplied USB cable can be used to connect the camera to a computer. Once the camera is connected, the supplied PictureProject software can be used to copy photographs to the computer, where they can be viewed and retouched. Before Connecting the Camera Install PictureProject after reading the manuals and reviewing the system requirements. To ensure that data transfer is not interrupted, be sure the camera battery is fully charged. If in doubt, charge the battery before use or use an EH-5 AC adapter (available separately). If PTP is selected when the camera is connected, the Windows hardware wizard will be displayed. Click Cancel to exit the wizard, and then disconnect the camera. Be sure to select Mass Storage before reconnecting the camera. Nikon Capture 4
Nikon Capture 4 version 4.3 or later (available separate-
ly) can be used to control the camera from a computer
and supports batch processing and more advanced im-
age editing options.
Before connecting the camera to a
computer running Nikon Capture 4 Camera Control, set
USB
to
PTP
(
71).
The display shown at right will ap-
pear in the control panel and viewfinder while Camera
Control is running.
