Shooting (P, S, A, M) Shutter-release disabled: • Non-CPU lens is attached: rotate camera mode dial to A or M (0 270). • Mode dial rotated to S after shutter speed of A selected in mode M: choose new shutter speed (0 69). Camera is slow to respond to shutter-release button: Select Off for Custom Setting d11 (Exposure delay mode; 0 219). Full range of shutter speeds not available: • Flash in use. Flash sync speed can be selected using Custom Setting e1 (Flash sync speed); when using optional SB-900, SB-800, SB-700, SB-600, or SB-R200 flash unit, choose 1/320 s (Auto FP) or 1/250 s (Auto FP) for full range of shutter speeds (0 222). • When On is selected for Movie options > Manual movie settings in the shooting menu, shutter speed can be set to values between 1/8000 s and 1/30 s (0 60). Colors are unnatural: • Adjust white balance to match light source (0 117). • Adjust Set Picture Control settings (0 131). Can not measure white balance: Subject is too dark or too bright (0 125). Image can not be selected as source for preset white balance: Image was not created with D7000 (0 126). White balance bracketing unavailable: • NEF (RAW) or NEF+JPEG image quality option selected for image quality (0 85). • Multiple exposure mode is in effect (0 154). Effects of Picture Control differ from image to image: A (auto) is selected for sharpening, contrast, or saturation. For consistent results over a series of photos, choose another setting (0 134). Metering can not be changed: Autoexposure lock is in effect (0 106). Exposure compensation can not be used: Choose mode P, S, or A (0 68, 69, 70). Noise (reddish areas or other artifacts) appears in long time-exposures: Enable long exposure noise reduction (0 205). n 302
