To use the spinner: Press and hold the middle selection key to enter a phone number. Rotate the spinner to scroll to a digit in the character bar that is shown at the bottom of the display, and select Select. Repeat this for each digit of the phone number. To call the phone number, press the call key, or select Options > Call. To save the phone number with a name, select Options > Save, then enter letters of the name one by one from the character bar, and select Options > Accept. ■ Standby mode When the phone is ready for use, and you have not keyed in any characters, the phone is in the standby mode. • Signal strength of the cellular network (1) • Name of the network or the operator logo (2) • Battery charge level (3) • The upper selection key (4) is Go To • The middle selection key (5) is Menu • The lower selection key (6) may be Names See also Essential indicators on page 26.
