ERROR WRITING TO PRN1 Check the printer is online. If there is an error message indicating the paper has run out, add more paper and cancel the error. Check whether another user is printing. Print after the other user has finished. MAC BLANK PAGES OR GARBLED TEXT PRINTED Symptoms: When printing via a USB or TCP/IP connection, you receive blank pages or pages printed with a line of garbled text. Cause: This issue is normally caused by the data being sent to the printer in binary format. The printer may not be able to understand data in this format, and therefore may print blank pages or garbled text. Solution: In your applications print options, there may be an option to send data as ASCII. Choose this option, and print your document. For example, in Adobe Photoshop 7 or Adobe Photoshop CS: 1. Click the File menu and select Print with Preview. 2. Click the box Show More Options. 3. From the pop-up menu, choose Output. 4. From the pop-up menu Encoding, choose ASCII.
