Basic Handling of DVD Video CameralRecorder Turning DVD Video Camera/Recorder On and Off While holding down the button at the centre of power switch, set tile switch according to each recording function: ---- Set to "Li PHOTO": To record still on DVD, iAM disc -- Set to "II VIDEO": To record movie on MD- -T\ ) RAM or DVD-R disc Set to "OFF": The DVD video camera/ recorder will turn off. -- Set to "L'A PHOTO": To record still on SD memory card or MultiMediaCard Note: • Once you turn the DVD video camel a/recorder on to lel i I recogr iise the disc. you can immediately record or play back by tuniiiigtl re DVD video camera/recorder on again (DVD-RAM). I lowever. if you remove the disc. replace or it the date changes after power is India] on. it will take seine time for the DVD video camera/recorder to start because it must recognise the disc again (Seepage 140) . • Once you have turned the DVD video camera/recorder on to record, you can immediately start recording when turning the FWD video camera/recorder on next time (DVD-H disc). • If you turn the DVD video camera/recorder on. the ACCI ISS indicator will lipid or blink to show that the DVD video camera/recorder iS recognising the disc or card: During this time. no operation. such us recording, can be performed. After several seconds, the ACCESS indicator will go out. and operating the DVD video camera/recorder will he possible. It the ACCESS indicator does not go out, refer to "Check 4" on page 140. Power ON status During playback. set the power switch to "Si VIDEO" or "Li PHOTO" when using disc, or set it to "Ri PHOTO- when using card. Turn the switch while holding down the : button at the centre of switch. a CARD ACCESS indicator ACCESS/PC indicator • When the DVD video camera/recorder is turned on, the self -diagnosis function will work and a message may appear. In this case, refer to "Trouble Messages" on page 142 and take corrective action. • While the ACCESS/PC or CARD ACCESS indicator is lit or blinking, do not violently open or close the LCD monitor.
