The Audio Settings Menu 06 Channel Level • Default setting: Fix / all speakers 10 ft. This setting allows you to set the level of each channel sent to the 5.1 channel analog outputs, and to set the distance of the speakers from your listening position so that the player can optimize the surround sound. 1 Press SETUP and select 'Audio Settings' from the on-screen display. Audio Settings Play Mode Initial Settings Video Adjust Disc Navigator Setup Navigator 2 Highlight Channel Level, then use the Joystick (left/right) to change to 'Fix' or 'Variable', as required. Audio Settings Audio DRC Virtual Surround Channel Level 1/ 2 Off Off Fix • Fix - Channel levels are fixed, but you can set the speaker distances • Variable - You can specify variable channel levels as well as speaker distances 3 If you chose Variable, move the joystick down to proceed to the next screen. Audio Settings Channel Level L Channel Level C Channel Level R Channel Level RS Channel Level LS Channel Level SW 2/ 3 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB 0.0 dB • Use the Joystick (up/down) to select a speaker. • Use the Joystick (left/right) to adjust the channel level for that speaker. Channel levels can be set from -6 dB to +6 dB. in 0.5 dB increments. After setting up all the channel levels, move the Joystick down until you reach the speaker distance setting screen. 49 En
