OPERATIONS Select the digital or analog input signal The functions DVD and LD have digital input terminals and an analog input terminal. When the input terminals are connected to a DVD player and LD player's output terminals, several input signals will be sent from each player. Use the SIGNAL SELECT button to select the input signal. Normally when set to "AUTO", the SIGNAL SELECT mode will automatically change to the best signal choice. ANALOG DIGITAL When set to "DIGITAL" or when digital signals are set to "AUTO", the memo signal set by the OPTICAL button will have priority. (Refer to page 17.) • The digital signals have priority over analog signals if both signals are present in the playback source when the system is set to "AUTO". • When selecting functions other than DVD and LD, SIGNAL SELECT I will be set to "ANALOG". U) When only the OPTICAL terminal is available as a DIGITAL z 0 output terminal for an LD or DVD player, connect the DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) terminal of the player to the OPTICAL terminal of this unit. Then set the OPTICAL terminal using the OPTICAL button ce (as shown below). In this case, the COAXIAL terminals will not function.
