(P. 17) • Confirm the setting of OPTICAL selector. (P. 17) Cannot be remote controlled. • The remote control unit batteries have worn out. • Too great of a distance. Bad angle. • There is an obstacle blocking signals in between. • Strong light such as fluorescent light is shining onto the remote sensor of the main unit. • Replace the batteries. (P. 7) • Operate within 7m and 30 degrees from the left and right of the main unit's remote sensor. • Remove the obstacle or operate from somewhere else. • Avoid direct exposure of the remote sensor to the light. If the unit does not operate normally due to external effects such as static electricity, press the RESET button on the front panel or disconnect the power plug from the outlet and insert again to return to normal operating conditions. MAINTENANCE OF EXTERNAL SUR- FACES • Use a polishing cloth or dry cloth to wipe off dust and dirt. • When the surfaces are dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dipped in some neutral cleanser diluted five or six times with water, and wrung out well, and then wipe again with a dry cloth. Do not use furniture wax or cleaners. • Never use thinners, benzine, insecticide sprays or other chemicals on or near this unit, since these will corrode the surfaces. 37
