Installing software over the network Command- line Definition Description /p"" or/ P"" Specifies printer port. Network Port will be created by use of Standard TCP/IP Port monitor. For local port, this port must exist on system before being specified by command. Printer port name can be specified as IP address, hostname, USB local port name, IEEE1284 port name or network path. For example: • /p"xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" in where, "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" means IP address for network printer. / p"USB001", /P"LPT1:", / p"hostname", / p"\\computer_name\sha red_printer" or "\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\shared _printer" in where, "\\computer_name\shar ed_printer" or "\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\shared _printer" means the network path to the printer by entering two slashes, the computer name or local IP address of the PC sharing the printer, and then the share name of the printer.
