Using the FM radio menu ( FM setting) AUTO PRESET With this function, stations with strong signals that you can now hear on the unit are received and then preset. • By using the auto preset function, you can tap / to select a preset station. NO: Cancel auto preset. YES: Use auto preset. If you selected "YES", "AUTO PRESET.." appears and stations are automatically selected, starting from frequencies in the lower limit. Received stations are automatically preset. • Auto preset ends when either 20 stations which can be received are registered, or when the frequency upper limit is reached. Then, broadcast from the station registered to channel 1 is received. • If the signal is weak or the reception state is bad, auto preset may not be possible. • If there is interference signal nearby, the interference signal may be received and preset. This is not a malfunction. OUTPUT During FM radio reception, you can output the broadcast to the speakers even when your headphones are plugged into the unit. Because your headphones also act as an antenna during FM radio reception, they must be plugged into the headphones socket of the unit. Usually, when you connect the headphones to the unit, audio is output only to the headphones. However, if the setting is changed to "SPEAKER", even when your headphones are connected to the unit, you can still hear the broadcast from the speakers. AUTO: Broadcast is not output to the speakers when your headphones are connected to the unit. 148
