When charging is finished, disconnect the unit from your PC. Disconnecting your PC (page 158) • You can also use the multi-cradle to charge the unit (ICR-XPS01MF only). Using the multi-cradle to charge the unit (page 47) • If the screen does not display a PC connection, disconnect the unit from your PC and then connect again. Connecting your PC (page 157) • Charging may not occur in the following cases. - Your PC is in the suspend mode. - You restart your PC. • If the charging indication displays , this means charging is not possible due to the following reasons. - There is no battery in the unit. - The temperature of the unit has risen. (Disconnect the unit from your PC. Turn off the power of the unit, leave it for a while, and then connect it back to your PC.) • During charging, the battery may become warm. This is not a malfunction. • If the battery duration becomes significantly shorter even after a full charge, this indicates the battery life has come to an end. Purchase a new lithium-ion battery (original battery). • During charging, always be sure the battery compartment lid is closed. • You can charge the battery while transferring data. However, depending on the usage condition, the battery duration after a charge may become shorter. • Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 5 to 35˚C (41 to 95˚F). 160
