24 VAIO Digital Studio Reference Manual Removing the Left Side Panel You must remove the left side panel to access the system board, add-in cards, power supply, battery, and internal drives. 1 From the rear of the unit, remove the two thumb screws that secure the panel to the chassis. 2 Slide the left side panel back with your right hand as you hold the chassis in position with your left hand. Removing the Left Side Panel
You must remove the left side panel to access the system board, add-in
cards, power supply, battery, and internal drives.

From the rear of the unit, remove the two thumb screws that secure
the panel to the chassis.

Slide the left side panel back with your right hand as you hold the
chassis in position with your left hand. The panel slides back about ½
inch.

Pull the panel straight out to remove it.
