7 − Recorder Using the mark list Every time a mark is stored, it is entered into the list, and every time a mark is deleted, it is removed from the list. Use the MARK LIST to locate, erase, and add titles to marks. Note that this list cannot be used to edit mark positions. To see the list, press the LOCATE key: ªª Erasing marks using the list 1 Press the LOCATE key. The MARK LIST screen appears. 2 Use the JOG/DATA dial (or §/¶ cursor keys) to select the mark to erase. 3 Press the DELETE key to erase the selected mark. NOTE Even when the time display on the home screen is shown in bars and beats, or the MTC time display is selected, the marks' time values are always shown using the absolute time values. Items in the list are always sorted in time order, not the order of the mark point names or numbers. ªª Locating using the list To locate using the mark list: 1 Press the LOCATE key. 2 Use the JOG/DATA dial (or §/¶cursor keys) to select the desired mark. 3 Press the YES/ENTER key. The playback position jumps to the selected mark. ªª Titling using the list 1 Press the LOCATE key. The MARK LIST screen appears. 2 Use the JOG/DATA dial (or §/¶ cursor keys) to select the mark whose title you want to edit. 3 Press the shifted TITLE key. 4 Give a title to the mark, using the procedure described in "Titling" on page 15. 5 When you press YES/ENTER to confirm the name, the screen returns to the list. Two marks can have the same title (though it may be confusing), but they cannot have the same time value. Locating using the list
To locate using the mark list:

Press the
LOCATE
key.

Use the
JOG/DATA
dial (or

cursor keys) to
select the desired mark.

Press the
YES/ENTER
key. The playback position
jumps to the selected mark.

Titling using the list

Press the
LOCATE
key.
The MARK LIST screen appears.

JOG/DATA
dial (or

cursor keys) to
select the mark whose title you want to edit.

Press the shifted
TITLE
key.

Give a title to the mark, using the procedure
described in “Titling” on page 15.

When you press
YES/ENTER
to confirm the name,
the screen returns to the list.
Two marks can have the same title (though it may be con-
fusing), but they cannot have the same time value.
It is not possible to rename the IN, OUT, TO or FROM
marks because they have special functions.

Erasing marks using the list

The MARK LIST screen appears.
