12 − Tempo and MIDI MIDI remote control From the SYNC/MIDI menu, this REMOTE option allows the setting of a number of parameters connected with remote control of the 2488neo. MIDI messages can be used for remote control of the 2488neo's mixer, effects and recorder. ªª REMOTE CONTROL When PROGRAM CHANGE SCENE is ON, received Program Change messages change scenes on the 2488neo. When PROGRAM CHANGE EFF is ON, received Program Change messages change the 2488neo effects. When CONTROL CHANGE is ON, received Control Change messages control the 2488neo's mixer and effect parameters. ªª MMC MODE Sets the transmission mode for MMC (MIDI Machine Control). OFF: MMC is not transmitted or received. MASTER: The 2488neo is an MMC master. SLAVE: The 2488neo is an MMC slave. When the 2488neo is an MMC master, MMC commands are sent from its MIDI OUT, for remote control of external MMC slaves (including other 2488neo units). When the 2488neo acts as an MMC slave, MMC commands are received through its MIDI IN, and external MIDI devices or another 2488neo can remotely control the 2488neo's recorder. ªª MMC Device ID Sets the MMC device ID. Select 1 to 127 or ALL. MMC commands are sent and received between masters and slaves with the same device IDs, but when ALL is selected, MMC commands are sent and received for all IDs. NOTE MMC is used for remote transport control of MMCequipped devices, while MTC (MIDI Time Code) is used to synchronize MTC-equipped devices. MIDI remote control
From the SYNC/MIDI menu, this REMOTE option allows
the setting of a number of parameters connected with
remote control of the 2488neo.
MIDI messages can be used for remote control of the
2488neo’s mixer, effects and recorder.

MMC MODE
Sets the transmission mode for
MMC
(MIDI Machine Control).
OFF
: MMC is not transmitted or received.
MASTER
: The 2488neo is an MMC master.
SLAVE
: The 2488neo is an MMC slave.
When the 2488neo is an MMC master, MMC commands
are sent from its
MIDI OUT
, for remote control of exter-
nal MMC slaves (including other 2488neo units). When
the 2488neo acts as an MMC slave, MMC commands are
received through its
MIDI IN
, and external MIDI devices
or another 2488neo can remotely control the 2488neo's
recorder.

MMC Device ID
Sets the MMC device ID. Select 1 to 127 or ALL. MMC
commands are sent and received between masters and
slaves with the same device IDs, but when ALL is selected,
MMC commands are sent and received for all IDs.
NOTE
MMC is used for remote transport control of MMC-
equipped devices, while MTC (MIDI Time Code) is used
to synchronize MTC-equipped devices.
Note that the MMC mode and MMC device ID are not
related to mixer and effect remote control.
