Getting Started Turning on the computer 23 On 4 Press and hold the power button in until the on/off light on the system indicator panel turns on (green)-about one second. Turning on the power The AC power light glows when the computer is connected to an external power source. The battery light does not glow if the AC adapter is not plugged in. If the adapter is plugged in, the battery light glows amber while the battery is being charged, and glows green when it is fully charged. If a battery is installed in the SelectBay, the SelectBay battery light glows amber when the battery is charging and green when the battery is fully charged. Otherwise the light is off. The hard disk drive light flashes to indicate that the hard disk drive is currently in use. If there is a disk device installed in the SelectBay, the SelectBay drive light flashes periodically to indicate that the device is available, and flashes when the device is in use. CAUTION: Never turn off the computer while any of the drives are in use. Part I: Getting to Know Your Computer
