70 Learning the Basics Starting a program 2 Click Windows Explorer. Windows opens Explorer. 3 In the left part of the screen, under the C: icon, double-click the folder containing the program, in this case Program Files. Explorer shows the contents of the Program Files folder on the right side of the screen. The left side of the screen shows all the folders contained within the Program Files folder. 4 Click Accessories. Explorer shows the contents of the Accessories folder on the right side of the screen. 5 Double-click Wordpad. Windows opens Wordpad. Starting a program from Run menu on the taskbar You can start a program from the taskbar if you know its name and location. To start a program using the taskbar: 1 Click Start on the taskbar. 2 Point to Run. 3 In the dialog box, type the command line.
