38 Finding Your Way Around Underside The expansion memory and optional Wi-Fi Mini-PCI slot cover protects the slots where you insert additional memory. See "Installing additional memory (optional)" on page 55 for detailed information. It is also the slot where an optional Wi-Fi Mini-PCI card for wireless networking (*for systems with Wi-Fi) can be installed. The cooling vent helps keep your computer at an optimum temperature. CAUTION: To prevent possible overheating of the CPU, make sure you do not block the cooling vents. The battery cover provides access to the battery module, which lets you use your computer when a standard electrical outlet is not available. For information about replacing the battery, see "Changing the main battery" on page 108. The battery release latch secures the battery cover to the computer, preventing the cover from dislodging from the computer case. The hard disk drive cover protects the computer's hard disk drive.
