MECHANISM TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE 2. Front Loading Mechanism A. Cassette cannot be inserted. Does the Lever Assembly Switch work? NO YES Is the Vcc of Main P.C.Board 5V? YES NO Is the voltage between cassette switch and GND on Main P.C.Board 5V?? YES NO Is the Lever Assembly Switch Spring damaged or omitted? YES Does the CST IN Switch work normally? YES NO NO Check syscon circuit. Check power circuit. Replace or add the Lever Assembly Switch Spring. Replace CST IN Switch. Check Mode switch location and syscon circuit. B. Is there a short circuit between cassette switch and GND on main P.C.Board? YES NO Remove the short circuit part or Replace the main P.C.Board. Replace CST IN Switch. Cassette will not eject. Does the L/D motor rotate in reverse? YES Does the Lever Assembly Switch work? YES Does the F/L Arm Assembly work normally? YES Does the Door Opener work? NO NO NO NO Check L/D Motor or Drive IC. Replace lever Assembly Switch. Replace F/L Arm Assembly . Replace the Door Opener. 4-26

Spring damaged or omitted?
Does the CST IN Switch work
normally?
Replace or add the Lever
Assembly Switch Spring.
Is the Vcc of Main P.C.Board
5V?

Check syscon circuit.

Check power circuit.

Is the voltage between cassette
switch and GND on Main
P.C.Board 5V??

Is there a short circuit between cassette switch
and GND on main P.C.Board?
Remove the short circuit part or
Replace the main P.C.Board.

Check Mode switch location
and syscon circuit.
Replace CST IN Switch.
