Maintenance Schedule Section C: Periodic Maintenance Inspections Listed beloware inspections and services whichshould be performedat least twice a year (for instance, each spring and fall). You should let your GM dealer's servicedepartment or other qualified servicecenter do these jobs. Makesure any necessary repairs are completed at once. INSPECTION OR SERVICE WHAT SHOULD BE DONE Restraint Systems ~ Steering, Suspension and Front-WheelDrive Axle Boot and Seal Inspection Exhaust System Inspection Throttle Linkage Inspection Manual Transaxle Now and then, make sure all your belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, anchorages and reminder systemsare working properly. Look for loose partsor damage. If you see anything any that might keep arestraint system from doing its job, have it repaired. Inspect the front and rear suspension and steering system for damaged, loose or missing parts, signs of wear, or lack of lubrication. Inspect the power steering lines hoses for proper and hookup, binding, leaks, cracks, chafing, etc. Clean and then inspect the drive axle boot seals for if damage, tears or leakage. Replace seals necessary. Inspect the complete exhaust system. Inspect the body nearthe exhaust system. Look for broken, damaged, missingor out-of-positionparts as well as open seams, holes, loose connections, or other conditions which couldcause a heat build-up in the floor pan or couldlet exhaust fumes into thevehicle.
