Using WebView The switch can be configured and monitored using WebView, Alcatel's Web-based device management tool. WebView software is pre-installed in the switch; you are not required to load additional software. Note. Although WebView software is pre-installed, you must first enable HTTP sessions for your switch before you can log in. Refer to "Unlocking Session Types" on page 34 for more information. Browser Compatibility WebView has been tested on the following Web browsers: • Internet Explorer 6.0 for Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP • Netscape 4.79 for Solaris 2.8, HP-UX 11.0 • Netscape 7.1 for Windows 2000, Windows NT, Solaris 2.8 Required Image Files In order to access WebView, the following image files must be present in the current running directory: • Hweb.img • Hwebl2eth.img • Hwebrout.img • Hwebqos.img • Hwebadvrout.img • Hwebsecu.img Refer to "Image Files" on page 49 for more information.
