Flash Memory Connection (optional) Connect Flash Memory 1 Open the cover of the USB Port. 2 Connect the Flash Memory directly to the USB Port, or via the USB cable. Notes • Change to a source other than the Flash Memory mode, and then remove the Flash Memory Device. If Flash Memory is removed while its contents are playing, data may be damaged. • When removing Flash Memory, pull it out straight. • If sound is not output or Flash Memory is not recognized even when connected, remove the Flash Memory Device once, and then reconnect. • After removing the Flash Memory, close the cover of the USB Port to prevent dust or foreign objects from entering and causing a malfunction. About MP3/WMA/AAC File of Flash Memory Playing back MP3/WMA/AAC MP3 files are prepared, and then stored to a Flash Memory Device. This unit can recognize at most 100 folders and 100 files per folder stored in Flash Memory. Playback may not be performed if a Flash Memory Device exceeds the limitations described above. Do not make a file's playback time more than 1 hour. Media supported Only MP3/WMA/AAC files are supported. Other media types are ignored. Corresponding File Systems This device supports FAT 12/16/32 for Flash Memory formats. 36-EN Connecting an iPod/iPhone An iPod/iPhone can be connected to this unit by using the Interface cable for iPod (included with iPod). When an iPod/iPhone is connected to this unit, you can choose to control the iPod/iPhone using its own controls or by the head unit controls. For details, refer to "Setting the iPod Control" on page 37. The iPhone can be used as a hands-free device using the integrated Bluetooth module. • Internet and telephone functions of iPod touch or iPhone, etc., can also be used when connecting to the unit. However, using these functions will stop or pause the playing songs, at this time do not operate the unit to avoid a malfunction.
