IV. BIOS SOFTWARE Smart Alarm (LM78) Setup This menu controls the functions of the LM78 hardware monitor chip on this motherboard. Certain hardware components are necessary for the all the features to be available. IV. BIOS (Hardware Monitor) NOTE: SETUP Defaults are noted in parenthesis next to each function heading. Details of Smart Alarm Setup Fan Monitor: CPU1 Fan Speed, CPU2 Fan Speed, Power Fan Speed (xxxxRPM) The onboard hardware monitor is able to detect the Chassis Fan Speed, CPU Fan Speed, and the Power Supply Fan Speed in Rotations Per Minute (RPM). These values refresh upon any key entry in the BIOS setup screens. Set to Ignore if one of these are not used so that error messages will not be given. Thermal Monitor: MB Temperature (xxxC/xxxF) The onboard hardware monitor is able to detect the Motherboard temperatures. These values refresh upon key entries. Set to Ignore only if necessary. Voltage Monitor: VCORE, +3.3V, +5V, +12V, -12V, -5V (+/- xx.xV) The onboard hardware monitor is able to detect the voltages put out by the voltage regulators. These values refresh upon key entries. Set to Ignore only if necessary. NOTE: If any of the monitored items are out of range during system bootup, you will be prompted by this message: "Hardware Monitor found an error, enter POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP for details." Details of Smart Alarm Setup
Fan Monitor: CPU1 Fan Speed, CPU2 Fan Speed, Power Fan Speed (xxxxRPM)
The onboard hardware monitor is able to detect the Chassis Fan Speed, CPU Fan
