Interruption may lead to faulty coding of the Flash EPROM. This can result in the unit no longer being addressable, requiring it to be replaced. Firmware update The camera functions and parameters can be updated with firmware. To do this, the current firmware package is transferred to the unit via the network. The firmware is installed there automatically. Thus a camera can be serviced and updated remotely without requiring a technician to make changes to the unit on site.
