8. Move the Fusing Unit Pressure Release Levers to the SET position. CHAPTER 5 MAINTENANCE Fig. 5-23 9. Install the Fuser Cleaner and the Oil Bottle into the new Fusing Unit and lock the Oil Bottle Lock Levers and the Fuser Cleaner Lock Levers. Be careful not to spill oil inside the printer. This could damage the printer. Note If the condition of the Fuser Cleaner is poor, we recommend that you replace the Fuser Cleaner at the same time as the Fusing Unit. The life counter for the Fuser Cleaner will need to be reset. Please refer to page 5-15 for instructions. Partially used Oil Bottles can be reused with a new Fusing Unit. Please wait for 30 minutes after installing a new Fusing Unit to allow the oil to circulate completely through the Heat Roller. 10. Close the Top Cover, and then plug the printer into the AC outlet. 11. Press the Power button to turn the printer On. 12. Press any of the Menu buttons (+, -, Set or Back) to take the printer Off Line. 13. Press + or - until "RESET MENU" appears. 14. Press Set to proceed to the next menu level, and then press + or - until "PARTS LIFE" appears. 15. Press Set, and then press + until "FUSER UNIT" appears. 5-25

lock the Oil Bottle Lock Levers and the Fuser Cleaner Lock Levers. Be
