CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION ABOUT THIS PRINTER ! Warning This printer is heavy and weighs approximately 56kg (124 lbs). To avoid injury when moving or lifting this printer, be sure to use at least two people. CHHEECCKKIINNGGTTHHEE COOMMPPOONNEENNTTSS After unpacking the printer, check to see that you have all of the following parts: Printer OPC Belt Cartridge Envelope Adapter Oil Bottle Fuser Cleaner Standard Paper Cassette Oil Syringe Quick Setup Guide Toner Cartridges (Black, Cyan, magenta and Yellow) CD-ROM Power Cord Fig. 1-1 ! Caution, Warning The Toner Cartridges, OPC Belt cartridge, Oil Bottle and Fuser Cleaner are packed inside a separate carton as a starter kit. Do not open them now. Only open them when you are ready to install them. The OPC Belt Cartridge must not be exposed to light for any length of time or it will be damaged. 1-3
