SPELLING CHECKER Using the Spell Check Function This machine is equipped with a spelling checker of American English with a dictionary of about 70,000 English words. It is as simple to use as typing, because the dictionary will check the words for you automatically as you type them! To place your typewriter into the spell cheek mode, just press the CODE + W SPELL keys. It is released from the spell check mode in the same manner. After having been placed in the spell check mode, if a misspelled w• ord (or a word not contained in the dictionary) is detected, the beep will sound, and in the direct type mode, the suspect word will appear on the lower line of the display.
