Sewing overcasting stitches using the optional side cutter Using the side cutter, seam allowances can be finished while the edge of the fabric is cut off. Five stitches can be used to sew overcasting stitches with the side cutter. Note z Thread the needle manually when using the side cutter, or only attach the side cutter after threading the needle using the needle threader.
