3. INSTALLATION 3-14. Connecting the power cord CAUTION Contact your Brother dealer or a qualified electrician for any electrical work that may need to be done. Be sure to connect the ground. If the ground connection is not secure, you run a high risk of receiving a serious electric shock, and problems with correct operation may also occur. Do not connect the power cord until installation is complete, otherwise the machine may operate if the start switch is pressed by mistake, which could result in injury. 0838Q 1. Attach an appropriate plug to the power cord (1). (The green and yellow wire is the ground wire.) 2. Insert the plug into properly-grounded AC power supply. Note: Do not use extension cords, otherwise machine operation problems may result.
