6. USING THE SEWING MACHINE (OPERATION PANEL: BASIC OPERATION) 6-2. Starting the sewing machine 1 Push the power switch (1) to the ON side. [The display examples are for a -01 specification sewing machine.] The power indicator (2) will illuminate and the contents of the panel display (3) will switch in the order shown below. 0407B 0261B *1 Displayed for approx. 2 seconds 0314B NOTE: If "E110" is displayed, turn the upper shaft pulley (4) by hand to align the index mark (5) on the pulley with the notch (6). 0311B 0312B 2 Press the start switch (7). 0313B 0408B 0409B 0506B 0507B 0229B [During test mode] Depress the treadle. • The feed base will move to the material setting position. • The panel display will switch to the standby condition *2 for the mode (automatic mode, manual mode, test mode, cycle program mode or program mode) that was active when the sewing machine was last turned off. *1: If settings for an optional device have been made, the icon for the optional device will appear here.
