ECM sending
In this section
we will
showyou howto senda
document.
Yourfax uses
a fullyautomatic
ECM(error
correction
mode)
feature
that reduces
system
and line errors
while
sending.
In order
to takeadvantage
of ECM,
you
are not required
to do anything,
but the other
fax must
also
have
the ECMfeature.
Whenthe otherfax has
the ECMfeature,
your fax
automatically
switches
to ECM.
When
you are sending
a document
by ECM,
the display
shows:
ECM TX
lf the other
fax doesnot have
ECM,
you can still
senda
fax to it with
any of the operations
described
in this
manual.
Even
if you senda document
with ECM,
lineerrors
occasionally
occuras a result
of a bad connection.

feature
