Sending Faxes ■ Problem documents • To prevent paper jams in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), do not use any of the following paper in the machine: WRINKLED OR CREASED PAPER CURLED OR ROLLED PAPER TORN PAPER CARBON PAPER OR COATED PAPER ONION SKIN OR CARBON-BACKED THIN PAPER 6 PAPER • Remove all staples, paper clips, or any other fasteners before loading the document into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). • Make sure any glue, ink, or correction fluid on the paper is completely dry before loading the document into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). • If you have a document that will not feed into the machine properly, make a photocopy of the document, then load the copy instead. Scanning Area The margins shown in the illustration below are outside the machine's scanning area. Make sure your document's text and graphics do not extend into these margins. To prevent paper jams in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), do not use any of the following paper in the machine:
Remove all staples, paper clips, or any other fasteners before loading the document into the Automatic Document Feeder
(ADF).
Make sure any glue, ink, or correction fluid on the paper is completely dry before loading the document into the Automatic
Document Feeder (ADF).
If you have a document that will not feed into the machine properly, make a photocopy of the document, then load the
copy instead.
Scanning Area
The margins shown in the illustration below are outside the machine’s scanning area. Make sure your document’s text and
graphics do not extend into these margins.
